Event Description
The oil and gas industry fall behind others when it comes to digitalisation and is under increasing pressure to transform. Maersk Drilling has developed and deployed a first-of-a-kind and innovative digital offering called Drilling Process Platform (DPP). It provides the drilling program information across to involved teams from both Drilling Contractor, Operator and Service Companies – offshore and onshore – driving efficiency and transparent well construction operations. DPP will act as a steppingstone for further digitalization and efficiency gains: will move towards integration of 3rd party dynamic well-bore models optimizing providing real-time updates to instructions, as-well as integrating directly with drilling automation systems. All of which will support Maersk Drilling gradually moving towards the industry vision of autonomous drilling.
Esben Thorup, Head of Digital Innovation at Maersk Drilling will show us how the innovation team take an idea and bring it into real-life.
